The objectives of the program are to build knowledge and skills in the areas of computer hardware and networking environment in IT. The program includes areas of advanced IT hardware applications in different business sectors and their application integration. The program also equips students with the skills required for to handle complex computer hardware installations and networking in a homogeneous or heterogeneous environment.

Diploma in Hardware and Networking program is designed with focus in creating highly skilled and independent IT technicians to manage enterprise systems and installations. UACE leavers with a flavor of ICT hardware concepts are targeted for this program as it is highly employable and there is a ready market for them. Acute talent shortage in the Networking space has opened up multiple career options for aspiring students and professionals.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum entry requirements for admission to the diploma program are—
- For direct entry—
- Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes, or its equivalent; AND
- Minimum One (1) Principal pass and two (2) Subsidiary passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
- Students from other countries must satisfy the minimum eligibility by submitting the equivalency from the UNEB/NCHE, or produce proof of completing the International Foundation Programme or Higher Education Certificate from a recognized institution.
