ISBAT University among the Top 10 African Universities in Sub-Saharan Africa with the Best Teaching Skills.
Excellent teaching is crucial for maximizing student success, enhancing the quality of education, and benefiting the society and the nation as a whole. Considering how young the continent’s population is, having outstanding teaching skills is especially important in African countries where universities play a significant role in addressing the growing concerns of unemployment.
The Times Higher Education University Rankings, often referred to as the THE Rankings, is the annual publication of university rankings by the Times Higher Education magazine in United Kingdom. The Times Higher Education thoroughly assessed the impact of 88 universities across 20 countries in addressing some of the toughest challenges faced in the region and carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across vivid areas. An additional 33 institutions were listed because they provided data but did not meet THE eligibility criteria to receive a ranking.
ISBAT University has been ranked amongst top 10 universities in Sub-Saharan Africa for the best in Teaching Skills by the Times Higher Education (THE) Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings, UK. It is noted that ISBAT is the only university from Uganda in the listed category of Top 10 for best teaching skills.
The data includes results from the sub-Saharan Africa student survey, which gathered the opinions of more than 20,000 students. The development work for the ranking was undertaken in consultation with university leaders across sub-Saharan Africa, in a project initiated by a consortium of African and international higher education organizations and companies.

In 2004, they started a collaboration with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and began publishing THE – QS World University Rankings for the first time.
