Driving Technological Innovation and Community Transformation in Uganda

ISBAT University proudly unveiled its state-of-the-art AI & Robotics Lab, marking a new chapter in its mission to pioneer technological advancement, research, and innovation-driven education in Uganda.
The lab was officially inaugurated by Mr. John Musinguzi Rujoki, Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Varghese Mundamattam, Chairman of ISBAT University, Prof. Dr. K.M. Mathew, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Fred Mandir Jachan Omach, Chancellor of ISBAT University.

As part of the inauguration, an insightful discussion took place between the university leadership and Mr. Musinguzi Rujoki, focusing on the technological and strategic advancements ISBAT University is undertaking. These efforts aim to not only empower students but also contribute meaningfully to the larger Ugandan community and national development.
Chairman Mr. Varghese Mundamattam emphasized ISBAT’s long-standing commitment to delivering future-ready education. “This lab is a reflection of our vision to prepare students to be leaders in innovation. It is a hub where creativity meets cutting-edge technology, and where knowledge is transformed into impact,” he said.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. K.M. Mathew spoke on the lab’s role in shaping interdisciplinary learning. “Through this facility, our students and researchers will work on real-world challenges in AI, robotics, and machine learning — building solutions for industries ranging from agriculture and health to logistics and smart systems.”
Mr. John Musinguzi Rujoki commended ISBAT for taking a bold step towards integrating technology with education. “Uganda needs institutions that look beyond conventional learning. ISBAT is equipping youth with the tools they need to thrive in a digital economy, and that’s a contribution that will ripple far beyond this campus.”

Chancellor Mr. Fred Mandir Jachan Omach reinforced the university’s mission to serve not just as an academic institution but as a transformative force within society. “We are not only nurturing skilled professionals but also responsible innovators who can uplift communities through technology and knowledge.”

With the inauguration of the AI & Robotics Lab, ISBAT University continues to lead from the front — providing a platform where innovation, education, and community development intersect.
