The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department of Multimedia, FICT, ISBAT University, in association with SPIE and IEEE Uganda Section is celebrating Day of Photonics – 2022 along with Photography Competition on the theme: Essence of Light in Photography scheduled to take place on 21st October, 2022 at ISBAT University Main Campus, Kampala. Aimed at Engineering, ICT and Management Students, Young Professionals from Institutions, Universities, who will get acquainted with the basics of photography, effect of light in photography, effect of light in computer. The workshop will host two keynote speakers, Mr. Giulio Molfese, Founder of Photo4Fashion, on Photography, writing with light and Mr. Thilak Kumar, Lecturer, ISBAT University on How light works in computer.

ABOUT THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER

The workshop shall host Mr. Giulio Molfese, photographer. Starting taking photographs in 1988, Giulio Molfese traveled the world with his cameras. Covering events and conflicts like: Kosovo War, Guinea Bissau, Casamance (Senegal), South Sudan and social conflicts and events all over Europe. Worked with International Agencies, magazines and newspapers. Lecturer for ISP ngo and ISBAT University on photography and photojournalism courses for Ugandans students. Involved into fashion and music photography worked with hundreds and hundreds of artists such as: Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Femi Kuti, Patti Smith, Black Crows, Chuck Prophet, Steve Wynn, REM just to mention a few. His exhibitions and publications appeared in Spain, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Canada. Fashion photographer in Uganda. 6 times award winner. Official photographer of Miss Uganda since 2011 and Kampala Fashion Week.
