Higher Education Certificate in Physical Science
Course Objective:
The program is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and principles of physical sciences, including physics, chemistry, and earth sciences. It aims to build a solid foundation in scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and experimental techniques, preparing students for further study or entry-level roles in science-related fields.
Learning Outcomes:
Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic principles in physics and chemistry, including mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, atomic structure, and chemical reactions.
Apply mathematical and computational tools to solve physical science problems.
Conduct basic laboratory experiments, demonstrating proper safety procedures and data analysis techniques.
Develop skills in scientific reasoning and critical thinking to interpret experimental results and theoretical models.
Communicate scientific concepts and findings effectively, both orally and in writing.
