To equip students with the foundational and advanced knowledge and skills in animation and visual effects, enabling them to create compelling visual narratives and effects for various media platforms. The course aims to blend artistic principles with the latest technology in 3D animation, motion graphics, and visual effects production.
Demonstrate proficiency in the latest animation and visual effects software and tools.
Understand and apply the principles of animation, storytelling, and visual aesthetics to create engaging content.
Develop and execute visual effects projects from concept to completion, incorporating industry-standard workflows and techniques.
Critically analyze visual effects in various media, understanding their impact on storytelling and audience engagement.
Collaborate effectively in teams to produce high-quality animation and visual effects projects.
(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with 5 passes; AND
(ii) Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent with at least 2 Principal passes obtained at the same sitting.
(iii) International students must produce the equivalency certificates from UNEB, equating their foreign qualifications as equivalent of (i) and (ii) above.
(iv) Students of HEC (Business/IT) with minimum score of class ii credit obtained from an accredited University shall also be considered after assessment of their previous awards.
(v) Diploma with minimum score of Class II Credit in a similar stream shall be considered for credit exemptions after assessment of their previous awards.
